UnitingCare Community

A leading provider of community services across the state, UnitingCare Community, (formerly Lifeline Community Care Queensland), is a service group of UnitingCare Queensland and part of a broader health and community services network which supports more than 14,000 people, employs over 15,000 staff and work with 8 500 volunteers in more than 400 locations.

Our core services are focused on child and family care; crisis support; counselling; disability support; and social inclusion. We are also part of the national Lifeline Australia network and run 11 Lifeline Centres across Queensland. These centres offer a range of individual and community support programs, for example, the 24-hour 13 11 14 Crisis Counselling Line; suicide prevention and bereavement support; and community recovery (support during and after large-scale disasters).

UnitingCare Community’s work is based on the model of person-centred care and reflects the organisation’s shared values of compassion, justice, respect, working together and leading through learning.
